About Wattglobe

Wattglobe shows what electricity costs across Europe – hour by hour, country by country – and when it is cheapest to use it. It is built entirely on official open data and is independent of energy suppliers.

What you find here

Day-ahead wholesale prices for 19 bidding zones in 18 countries, updated every day once the market results are out (around 13:00 CET); estimated final prices with network charges, taxes and levies wherever the official tariffs are published; planners for appliances and electric-car charging, a calculator for your own meter data, monthly reports, the European household price atlas and charging-station pages for Germany and France.

Independence

We do not sell electricity, take no money from suppliers for rankings and show no paid placements. Prices are never edited by hand: they come from the sources listed on the data sources page and are cross-checked automatically.

How we work

Every figure can be traced to its source. Estimates are labelled as estimates and their method is described in the methodology. Network charges, taxes and levies are updated when the authorities publish new values.

Corrections and contact
