How the Dutch price is set
The Netherlands is a single bidding zone in the European day-ahead market. Every day at noon the auction sets a price for each quarter-hour of the following day.
With a dynamic contract you pay that price plus your supplier's purchasing fee, energy tax (in 2026 € 0.09161 per kWh before VAT in the first band) and 21% VAT. Fixed delivery and network charges are billed per day and do not change with the hour.
