How the Danish price is set
Denmark has two bidding zones: West Denmark (DK1, Jutland and Funen) and East Denmark (DK2, Zealand and the islands). The price can differ when the Great Belt link is congested.
On top of the spot price, Danish households pay their grid company's time-of-use tariff, Energinet's transmission and system tariffs, electricity tax and 25% VAT. The electricity tax has been cut to the EU minimum of 0.8 øre per kWh for 2026 and 2027.
Our final price uses the tariffs the grid companies and Energinet report to DataHub. By default we use N1 for West Denmark and Radius for East Denmark – you can pick your own grid company at the top of the page.
