How the Slovenian price is set
Slovenia is a single bidding zone; the day-ahead market is run by the BSP power exchange and coupled with the rest of Europe, with 96 quarter-hour prices per day since 1 October 2025.
Dynamic-price contracts pass this price on, plus the supplier's mark-up. Network charges, the contributions for renewables and energy efficiency, excise duty and 22% VAT come on top. Since 1 October 2024 network charges have been billed under a new method with five time blocks and an agreed capacity per block, so when and how hard you draw power matters as well.
Since 1 March 2026 our final price adds the per-kWh network charge of the time block each quarter-hour falls in (from €0.01299 in block 5 to €0.02217 in block 1, 2026 tariffs), the energy-efficiency contribution (€0.0008 per kWh), excise duty (€1.53 per MWh), a sample supplier margin and 22% VAT. Capacity-based network charges and the renewables contribution are not included.
